1. Editor's comments

Another busy week flew by me. The project I'm working on
is finally stabilizing and starting to require less of my
attention.
This is good because hopefully I can work on the many
things that I need to get caught up on.
A couple more weeks and the kids will be out of school for
the summer, and it will probably end up being my job to
entertain them.
Maybe I can use that as an excuse to take some time off...
Sincerely,
Chuck McCullough

2. Are you promoting products you believe in?
==============================================
Which affiliate programs are you promoting?
The ones with the highest commissions, or the longest cookie
duration?
How about that great program that has the most affiliates?
It has to be the best, right?
Everyone knows that 2-tier affiliate programs automatically
go to the top of your promotions list...don't they?
The problem is that so many of us pay absolutely no
attention to the actual products we are promoting.
It is sooo much easier to succeed at selling products that
you actually like, use, and believe in.
When you have never even seen or used a particular product,
you must rely on the 'canned' marketing material provided
by the affiliate program, or that you have 'borrowed' from
other affiliates.
The problem with this approach is that you become another
face in the crowd using the same pitch to sell to the same
people.
Surfers are getting better at finding their way around the
Web and are learning how to find many, many sites about the
topic they are interested in.
Its not necessarily a bad thing to see the same product
being promoted on these sites they visit, but it is when
the exact same sales pitch is used on all of them.
What is the first thing they do?
Tune out.
That's right, after the second or third time they see that
same message their brain automatically blocks it out.
Gone. Bye-bye.
Guess where your site is on the list that they visit...
fourth!
Does that mean you can't promote the same products and
services your competitors are promoting?
Not at all, you just need to take a different approach to
the way you promote that product or service.
Write up a review, or a recommendation, using your own
words, describing your own experience with the product.
"But Chuck I've never used the product, how can I write
a review in my own words about something I have no clue
about?"
Bingo!!
That one is easy to fix, isn't it?
You purchase the product, read it, use it, or whatever
you do with it and then you can write this kind of review.
"What if I buy it and don't like it?"
Bingo again!
You find another product to promote, that's what.
When you find a great product and learn how to promote
it, you will make sales. If it is already very popular
you might not get rich right away, but you will make
sales.
I've found this to be true of the Make Your _____ Sell!
products from SiteSell.com.
For the longest time I stopped promoting them because
I felt everyone in the world already knew about them.
I'm finding that isn't the case. After re-reading Make
Your Site Sell! http://affiliatematch.com/myss and
Make Your Knowledge Sell! http://affiliatematch.com/myks
I've started to make sales again of both products.
All hype aside, both are superb products and have in-
valuable, timeless information. I used some of Make Your
Site Sell's ideas for my FindSticky site and liked the
response so much that I changed AffiliateMatch.
Make Your Knowledge Sell! is giving me the information
I desperately needed to help me develop my own product.
Bottom line on all of this is to know your products, and
only promote products that you personally use or have
used and that you truly enjoy.
This will show through in your recommendations, and your
visitors will appreciate it so much they will become your
customers.
If only I would have done this sooner with the SiteSell
products I would have so many more LIFETIME CUSTOMERS
right now!!
Don't make the same mistake I did, get your copy today
and start promoting right after you have read it:
