Which ads should you use?
When promoting affiliate programs, it is often
difficult to determine which ads you should use
to promote them with.
This week I give you some ideas on how to figure
out which ones should do quite well.
I've had to intentionally keep this issue really
short. I upgraded my email service at Postmaster
General, and for whatever reason they pushed my
monthly KB limit to just under my allotment.
Rather than argue with them I figured I'd just go
ahead and send out a shortened version.
It will reset on Friday, but I didn't want this
issue to be late, so I'll get you caught up next
week.
Enjoy!

1. Which ads should you use to promote an affiliate program?
=============================================================
How do you know which ads are the most successful? This is
easier than you might think.
Subscribe to as many ezines or newsletters as you can find
that specialize in your particular topic.
Keep an eye on the ads each day or week or month, whatever.
The ones that you see over and over again week after week
are the ones that are making money for the advertiser.
When an ad isn't working they will pull it completely or
change the wording or change the products they are promoting.
If you pay attention to this newsletter, I've been running
basically the same ads for quite some time now.
Why? Because they consistently make sales each week.
You've heard the saying: "If it ain't broke don't fix it!"
That applies to advertising as well. Once you find a product
that sells well for you, and you find just the right wording
for your ads, leave them alone!
Once sales start to drop or things begin to slow down a bit,
then you can tweak the wording and try to bring sales back
up to normal.
If they fall off completely its time to try advertising in
different places. If you can't seem to get the sales you
want after trying different places and different wording
for your ads, maybe its time to start promoting something
different.
Try to picture your advertising expenses as an investment.
When you find an ad that consistently earns you more than
what you paid for the advertising space, do it again!
And again and again until the effectiveness starts to wear
off.
When it does you can either try different wording or find
new places to advertise using the ad that worked so well
for you.
If you keep changing the ad, changing where you advertise,
changing the products you are promoting, how are you ever
going to find out what works?
You can't expect everything to click perfectly the first
time. Be prepared to do some testing to find out exactly
what works and what doesn't work.
Once you've found the perfect combination, you will be
making good money for a long time to come.
